Our Mission
Radio is one of the oldest broadcast media formats, and yet it remains one of the most vital. Across the world, millions of stations broadcast music, news, sports, culture, and conversation — in hundreds of languages, from small community studios to major international broadcasters.
AHL Radio was built on a simple conviction: all of these streams should be accessible to everyone, not just the people who happen to live nearby. Internet streaming makes this technically possible. AHL Radio makes it practically easy.
Our platform is powered by data from the Radio Browser community — an open, collaboratively maintained database of radio streams. We layer on top of that foundation our own curation, search technology, and mobile apps to create the best radio discovery experience available.

Global by Design
Most streaming services are built around local markets. AHL Radio is global by default. We catalog stations from Lagos, São Paulo, Tokyo, Dublin, and everywhere in between, and we make them equally easy to find and play.
Privacy First

How AHL Radio Works
When you open AHL Radio and press play on a station, your device connects directly to that station's stream URL — we do not proxy or buffer the audio ourselves. This means the full quality the station broadcasts reaches you without any degradation, and it means the station receives the listener count directly.
Station metadata — name, genre, country, language, bitrate, codec — comes from the Radio Browser open database, contributed by listeners and station operators around the world. We refresh this data regularly to ensure streams are current and working.
Our search and browse system lets you filter by genre, country, language, and bitrate. Sort by votes (community ratings) or click count to find the most popular stations in any category.
The AHL Radio App
The free AHL Radio app for iOS and Android adds background playback, a sleep timer, offline-accessible favourites, and audio effects (equaliser, bass boost, reverb) to your listening experience. Available on both platforms at no cost.
